GRAM
GRAM is the money. It is the currency used by the wallet built into Telegram, and it used to be called Toncoin.
Gram Wallet
Gram Wallet is the wallet Telegram has built into the app, so you can hold and send money without installing anything.
Wallet
A wallet is the app that holds your digital money and proves it is yours.
Token
A token is a unit a project creates that people can hold, send and trade.
Telegram bot
A Telegram bot is an account run by software instead of a person.
AI agent
An AI agent is software that decides what to do next on its own, rather than waiting to be told each step.
Project agent
A project agent is an AI agent dedicated to one project, with one goal: growing it.
Recovery words (seed phrase)
Your recovery words are the list of words that can restore your wallet, and anyone who has them has your money.
TON (The Open Network)
TON is not money. It is the network the money moves on, the way a road is not a car.
Toncoin (now GRAM)
Toncoin was the old name for GRAM. Same money, new name, so you will meet both words for a while.
Words people will say to you
The words that keep people out are rarely the technical ones. These are the ones that get said at you in a group chat, by people who forgot they had to learn them too. We do not talk like this. You do not have to either. But you should know what is being said.
DYOR
DYOR means “do your own research”, and it is usually used to end a conversation rather than help you.
Rug pull
A rug pull is when the people behind a project take the money and disappear.
gm
gm is just “good morning”, used as a greeting in crypto groups at any hour of the day or night.
wen
wen is a deliberate misspelling of “when”, usually asking when something will happen.
ser
ser is a deliberate misspelling of “sir”. It is a joke, and it is not about you.
LFG
LFG means “let’s go”, shouted when people are excited. It is enthusiasm, not information.
FOMO
FOMO is the fear of missing out, and it is the feeling most often used against you.
Shilling
Shilling is promoting something because you own it, not because it is good.
Aping in
To ape in is to buy something fast without checking it. It is said proudly. It should not be.
Mooning
Mooning means a price going up a lot. Nobody can promise it, and anyone who does is lying.
Degen
A degen is someone who takes wild money risks for fun. People call themselves this as a badge.
Anon
Anon is what people call each other in crypto groups when they do not know your name.
WAGMI / NGMI
WAGMI is “we’re all gonna make it” and NGMI is “not gonna make it”. Both are said as jokes, mostly.

Blockchain
A blockchain is a shared record that everybody can read and nobody can quietly rewrite.
Launch
A launch is the moment you tell people your thing exists and they can use it.
Launchpad
A launchpad is a service that helps projects release a token, usually to an audience of investors.
Mini app
A mini app is a small app that opens inside Telegram instead of in a browser.
Channel vs. group
A channel is for broadcasting to people, a group is for people talking to each other.
Community token
A community token is a token a group creates so its members have a stake in it.
Supply
Supply is how many of a token exist in total.
Liquidity
Liquidity is how easily something can be bought or sold without the price jumping.
Fees
A fee is the small charge for recording something on the network.
Smart contract
A smart contract is a program that runs on the network and does exactly what it was written to do, every time.
Self-custody
Self-custody means only you hold the keys, so nobody else can move your money and nobody can get it back for you.

Airdrop
An airdrop is when a project gives tokens away to a group of people, usually for free.
Staking
Staking is locking up tokens for a period in exchange for a reward.
NFT
An NFT is a token that stands for one specific thing rather than an interchangeable unit.
DEX
A DEX is a place to swap one token for another without a company in the middle.
Stablecoin
A stablecoin is a token designed to stay worth the same as a regular currency, usually the dollar.
Whitelist
A whitelist is a list of people allowed to do something early.
Vesting
Vesting means tokens unlock gradually over time instead of all at once.
Memecoin
A memecoin is a token made as a joke or a reference, with no product behind it.
KYC
KYC is the process of proving who you are to a company, usually with an ID document.
